[Xcircuit-dev] Editing Data Sheets?

I have a .PDF data sheet that I'd like to extract sections from and include 
them in to a XCircuit schematic, preferably with out retyping/redrawing it 
by hand.

I've tried using GhostScript to convert a page of the .PDF to .PS format.

The .PS looks really bad, at any resolution, compared to the .PDF file.

Any way is there a way to feed this in to XCircuit?  I've tried Read, nothing 
use full happens.

Import Background does do that, but you can't edit the background.

Any ideas?
