[Xcircuit-dev] New Elements and parameterization

I'm trying to create a new element (a relay) and parameterize it.  All
I really want is a PCB label K<?> and an informational label that
matches.  The labels *looks* okay, showing up as

    Helvetica K Parameter(1) < ? >

and

    Helvetica p c b : K Parameter(1) < ? >

but when I ask to autonumber the circuit elements, the relay is still
labeled as K? rather than K1.

What am I doing wrong?  I can send the circuit if that helps, this is a hobby
project so there is nothing proprietary....
