[Xcircuit-dev] RE: XCircuit & Debian issues

Thanks for the help Tim.  It was just as you said.  I should have 
installed the ~-dev Debian package in the beginning.  That took care of 
the tclConfig.sh problem.

However, I couldn't get any Debian package to produce a tkConfig.sh.  
That required installing Tk from source (as you said).

Also I had to learn that I needed Tcl/Tk 8.3 because Debian's stable 
distribution's compiler is too old for Tk 8.4.

But now I'm up and running xcircuit with Tcl/Tk and everything is peachy!
