Well, that's not good!  What version of XCircuit are you using, on what
OS type and version?  It shouldn't be acting like that.  Note that if,
after a crash, you type just "xcircuit" without specifying any file,
you'll get the last saved backup (usually within a few dozen keystrokes
of where it crashed).

See http://xcircuit.ece.jhu.edu/.  Click on "Reference", then go down to
the end of the Table of Contents where it says "XCircuit PostScript
Reference", and click on that.
